Tire of choice Unimog 427
Hello
It soon have new tires for my Unimog 1000th
He is always with Schaeff AT16 construction excavator, operating weight approx 7Tonnen
or forestry winch installation, operation Weight approx 6Tonnen
road and when towing a trailer.
It goes a lot over the highway and easy routes of over 50km on the road and then in the forest.
The Unimog runs about 5000km per year
He currently stands on Continental MPT80
Of these I am convinced only mediocre. On the rear axle these hold astonishingly well and also the wear is uniform and low, in spite of high loadings but on the front axle they are terribly declining. A proper stumbling. In places with 3 studs more than in the places where only 2 studs touch the ground.

Which tire is the most economical or most useful for this application?

Michelin XM47? Conti AC70G? Dunlop SP T9?

Has anyone experience with BKT MP 513 MULTIMAX

or can someone recommend a different profile?

Hello,

the most usefull tire is the Michelin MX 47.
Even on the street it is well to drive and not more noisy then other.
Off road it is the best you can by for a Unimog.
The only problem is the high price.

I use this typ for two Unimog´s and just some weeks ago we made 2400 km on road in one week, and the standard use is in the forest and on the farm grounds.
